This is where Blue Energy Fuels (BEF) and our partners lead the industry. When choosing a company to build your CNG fueling station or equipment you have a long list of companies to pick from. BEF is known for using only top quality equipment, but we’re also know for being able to service, maintain and repair every part of the facility. Every part! As far as we know we are the only CNG station construction company that can make that claim. Also every person that is part of our service team is employed by BEF or one of our partners. We never use subcontractors for any of our service or repairs. The same staff that designs, builds, installs our equipment is the same staff we use for our service department. It makes sense that the people that design and build the original equipment know it the best, and can fix it right the first time.
Any mechanical system that has moving parts requires regular service to keep it operating a peak performance levels. Also any mechanical system will eventually need repairs. Your fleet drivers and the general public are after all “people”, they make mistakes that can damage equipment even under the most advantageous of situations. That’s why BEF offers 24/7 service and maintenance. A fleet of CNG vehicles can’t save you any money if you can’t get fuel into the tanks. We build in redundancy into our designs, but it is still a mechanical system.
If you are operating your CNG fuel station under a “compression lease” with BEF then the service/maintenance package comes with the lease. If you own your own equipment then we offer the same service through a service contract. We also stock our own parts, so when there is a problem you don’t have to wait for BEF to order a part from another company. Since our partners manufacturer so much of the equipment, stocking of spare parts is just part of our overall business plan. BEF’s service plan is complete. It includes everything and on a very strict schedule. A customized service and maintenance schedule is designed for every customer.
A word of caution. Over the years we have seen a number of CNG equipment owners try and save money by not having a regular service schedule, properly trained personnel, and spare parts. When these stations “go down” it is not uncommon for the repair cost to greatly exceed the investment that would have been made by having service contract with us. We have also seen situations where the person who was responsible for doing routine maintenance either didn’t want to do the service or they didn’t want CNG to be part of their fleet. By ignoring routine maintenance they have set their company up for failure by allowing the equipment to fall into disrepair. Considering the investment your company will have in the equipment, please consult us about service before you decide to do your own.
